Advice for Travelling The World on A Budget

It is all well and good knowing that you want to travel the world, but can you afford it? As much as many of us like the thought of seeing different places in the world, we have to face facts that it is going to cost money!

Does a lack of money mean we have to give up on the idea of travelling? Not at all! It simply means we have to be savvier with the way we travel! Here are some advice for travelling the world on a budget…

Advice for Travelling The World on A Budget:

Making Travel Plans

The biggest expense of your trip will be the actual travel and accommodation you need to book. The best thing you can do is make sure that you book this in as far advance as possible. Flights and hotels tend to go up in cost the nearer the time they are being used

The internet is a full of information, so use this to your advantage. You should be able to view prices well in advance of booking. This also gives you the opportunity to look at deals on offer from different companies and compare them.

If there is a particular place you are travelling to, then look this up online too. There will be information on recommended places to stay and where to avoid. You’ll probably find advice from people that have travelled there in the past on a budget, so you can make use of their experience.

Earn Whilst You Travel

If you’re only going away for a couple of weeks then this might not work, but for longer term travel plans it definitely does. Get a Visa which allows you to travel and work. That way when you’re planning to stay in one place for a long time you can get a job and bring in a wage. This makes it much easier to be able to travel and stay away from home long term.

Drive Yourself Around

If you are planning to visit a few places that are connected together then you could always look at driving yourself and saving the price of flights. Look up things like camper rentals in St. Louis and see if you can rent one for a few weeks. Driving from one place to another also allows you to see the sights properly and really experience the country in its truest form.

Look For Deals

Much like anything else that you buy, there will be travel deals and special offers. When you’re at one destination have a look and see what else is on offer while you are there. For example, Singapore is really cheap to visit if you’re in Australia. When you’re on holiday there is nothing to say you have to stay in one place so don’t be afraid to get out there and explore.

If you’re in a popular travellers destination then you might even find that other travellers will share with you hints and tips of the best places to travel to.
