See the world the exciting way on one of these ultimate road trips.
Route 66, USA
Possibly the USA’s most famous stretch of road, Route 66 runs from Chicago, Illinois all the way to California. Crossing eight states over nearly 2,500 miles, this is the road trip of all road trips. You’ll pass through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, seeing a huge chunk of the best the States has to offer. Route 66 shows you just how much America differs from one state to the next, and you’ll see a huge variety of culture and scenery.
Great Ocean Road, Australia
Australia’s Great Ocean Road is a 243-kilometre stretch of road between the cities of Torquay and Allansford along the coast of Victoria. Widely regarded as one of the world’s most scenic drives, it’s a National Heritage listed site. Along the way, you can surf at one of the many beaches and see nature and wildlife. Stop in beautiful historic towns en-route to enjoy the food and drink. Highlights along the way include the Bay of Islands Coastal Park and the rainforests of the Otway Ranges. Not forgetting the famous 12 Apostles rock stacks. Pick up a camper van from the Caravan & Camper Megastore for a full-on camping experience, or stop at little places to stay along the way.
South Island, New Zealand
New Zealand has some of the most stunning scenery in the world. A road trip through South Island takes you past snowy mountains, rushing rivers, lakes and golden beaches. There are a number of routes and trips you can take along and around the island. See the magnificent fjords at Milford Sound, whale watch along the coast or meet the locals in the city of Christchurch.
Atlantic Road, Norway
This miniature road trip is less or a trip and more of a road. Nevertheless, it is hailed as one of the greatest road trips in the world. Only 8.2 kilometres long (just over 5 miles) it’s a short trip, but an unforgettable one. Much of the road consists of bridges over rocks, bringing you close enough to the water to have waves crash against your windshield. You cross these bridges between tiny islands and, though the distance is short, you’ll see a lot on the brief journey.
